Charitable Giving
We're passionate about giving back.
One of our priorities as a company is giving back to the community, and our philanthropic efforts are as diverse as our locations.
Copart raises money for a variety of charities. Copart employees work hard to donate money and supplies to charities in the communities we’re situated in. We support Edmonton’s Veterans Association Food Bank, AARCS Safe Haven — Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society, and London Cares Homeless Response Services.
First Responder Support
Copart provides a safe practice environment for people who save lives.
Fifty percent of Copart locations have ongoing relationships with local law enforcement, fire departments and other agencies. Most commonly, these locations provide a controlled training environment for police K9s to track narcotics and detect explosives.
Fire departments utilize Copart locations and vehicles to practice on-site vehicle extrication and other emergency techniques. These trainings give an ideal space for first responders to keep their teams and communities safe.
Disaster Relief
When natural disasters such as hurricanes occur, Copart helps people get back on their feet.
Copart employs an elite team of dedicated catastrophe relief experts, enabling us to react quickly and efficiently when we're needed most.
Our immediate vehicle recovery response allows for a faster total loss claims process, supporting both vehicle recovery and storage and peace of mind for policy holders affected by natural disasters.

Environmental Responsibility
We are an industry leader in preserving our natural environments.
Our company is committed to maintaining exceptionally clean and organized facilities and has very strict guidelines for disposal of fluids and other waste. In just one year, Copart recycled over 380 tons of material, reduced greenhouses gases by an estimated 390 tons and saved more than 19,000 gallons of oil. Unlike our competitors, who just rent the land where they house their vehicles, Copart buys, and takes pride in, our properties. To put it simply, we own our locations, so we take care of them.
