Copart provides a safe practice environment for people who save lives.
Thirty percent of Copart locations have ongoing relationships with local law enforcement, fire departments and other agencies. Most commonly, these locations provide a controlled environment for police dogs to train on tracking, narcotics and explosives detection.
Duane Buethe, Lead Trainer for Comal County Canine unit told Copart, "It's invaluable to us as dog handlers to have access to this area." Detective agencies use our locations to practice accident investigations, and fire departments train first responders in person extraction and even use of Jaws Of Life.

Disaster Relief
When natural disasters such as hurricanes occur, Copart helps people
get back on their feet.
In order to expedite the insurance settlement process, insurance carriers rely on Copart to help them transport vehicles, document damages and sell the totaled automobiles. In order to handle these huge increases in vehicles handled, Copart employs an elite team of dedicated catastrophe relief experts, enabling us to react quickly and efficiently when we're needed most. This means that natural disaster victims can close their insurance claims faster and purchase the transportation they need to get to their jobs and pick their children up from school.

Copart, Inc., an online auto auction company for clean-title and total-loss vehicles, has direct links to the DMV computer systems of several states. This real-time sharing of information expedites the processing of vehicle title paperwork.

Our company is committed to maintaining exceptionally clean and organized facilities and has very strict guidelines for disposal of fluids and other waste. In just one year, Copart recycled 32.52 tons of material, reduced greenhouse gases by 103 metric tons and saved nearly four thousand gallons of oil. Unlike our competitors, who just rent the land where they house their vehicles, Copart buys, and takes pride in, our properties. To put it simply, we own our own locations, so we take care of them.
